Design Challenge:Rebrand a New Orleans bohemian hotel. Use a comprehensive design process including research, analysis, business strategy, and organization to create a brand identity program. Design the primary identity and apply it to a variety of media brand touch points. Then design a brand manual to specify how to publish, and fabricate elements of the brand identity system. This guides how branded marketing materials are conceived and produced in the future.
Solution:Designing a brand identity for a bohemian hotel in New Orleans was a challenge that required a comprehensive design process, including research, analysis, business strategy, and organization. The client's goal was to attract a younger, broader audience seeking an authentic New Orleans experience in a classy avant-garde setting. Extensive research was conducted on the clientele, history, and previous branding. The hotel's rich history and stunning interior design served as inspiration for the visual system, which is sophisticated and easy to communicate to guests. The brand direction showcases the hotel's attention to detail and uniqueness, with curated wallpaper designs used in the brand identity to represent its distinction. The colors are rich, warm, and vibrant, reminiscent of the hotel's classic era, creating a luxurious and mysterious atmosphere that guests will remember. The typography used in the brand identity mirrors this experience and adds to the overall ambiance of the hotel. A brand manual was created to guide the production of marketing materials in the future, ensuring consistency across all media touch points.
